My son, Burke Brownfeld, has published a children’s book, When I Grow Up, I Want to be a Guardian, featuring public safety jobs such as police officers, firefighters, and forest rangers. Told from a little girl’s perspective, the story conveys the message that public safety jobs are interesting career choices, also for girls.
